Winter, spring, summer or fall, it’s always a good time to clean your bathroom.
A clean bathroom is not only pleasing to the eyes, it also minimizes any germs and bacteria that can cause you and your family to become sick.
I deep clean our bathrooms once a week in order to keep them fresh and clean.
We started natural or ‘green cleaning’ about a year ago and I have not used a store bought cleaner since. It is much cheaper, eco-friendlier and healthier to make and use your own natural cleaning products than it is to use the harsh store-bought cleaners.
Below you will find a list of effective and time-saving tips to help you keep your bathroom fresh and clean all year round!
ALL NATURAL TOILET CLEANER
Baking soda and vinegar. That’s it! Mix a cup of baking soda with a cup of white vinegar and pour into your toilet. Let it sit for about an hour, scrub with your brush and flush. Voila! Sparkling clean toilet!
CLEAN YOUR SHOWER HEAD WITH VINEGAR
Place a rubber-band around the shower head, fill a plastic bag with vinegar, slip the top of the bag under the rubber-band and let it sit for an hour. Remove the bag and turn the nozzle on to flush. Use a safety pin or toothpick to clean in the holes if necessary. Wipe the nozzle clean. Your showerhead should be clean!
SCRUB YOUR TUB WITH GRAPEFRUIT AND SALT
Grapefruit is not only good for weight loss but for cleaning as well! Slice the grapefruit in half and sprinkle the top liberally with kosher salt. Wet the tub and sprinkle the rest of the salt in the tub. Using the half of the grapefruit with the salt, start scrubbing the tub until you have scrubbed the entire tub. (You will need both slices of the grapefruit for this) Rinse well.
CLEAN YOUR AIR VENTS WITH CANNED AIR
Grab a can of canned air to easily clean your air vents.
